You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into these Terms. The Service is a general-audience service and is not directed to children.
The competition is void where prohibited or restricted by law. We may exclude residents of certain jurisdictions from prize eligibility for legal reasons (for example, Italy, and U.S. states such as New York and Florida where a prize pool exceeds applicable registration thresholds). Any such restrictions are set out in the Official Rules for the relevant round or championship.
winstep is free to use. You complete tasks and quizzes and may play bonus games to earn points. Points determine your standings across rounds and championships, which may lead to prizes. We may change the format, point values, schedule, and features of the Service at any time.
No purchase or payment is ever required to participate or to win. You earn points and compete using only the free activities provided in the Service (such as the daily quizzes and games). The Service is supported by standard on-page advertising, which requires nothing from you — there are no paid offers or tasks, and no action of any kind will increase your chances of winning.
Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, local, and other taxes associated with receiving a prize. Where required by law, before a prize is awarded we may require you to provide tax information — for example, U.S. taxpayers who win prizes totaling US$600 or more in a calendar year may be required to complete an IRS Form W-9 (and we may issue a Form 1099), and non-U.S. winners may be required to complete a Form W-8BEN. If you do not provide required tax information within a reasonable time, the prize may be forfeited.

We may monitor for such conduct and, at our sole discretion and without prior notice or explanation, remove points, disqualify entries, withhold prizes, and suspend or permanently terminate any account we reasonably believe is involved in prohibited conduct.
The Service is supported by advertising and may display ads served by third-party advertising partners. These partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, as described in our Privacy Policy. Advertisements are provided by third parties under their own terms, and we are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or for any products or services they promote. Your interactions with advertisers are at your own risk, and any dispute with an advertiser is between you and that third party.
The Service, including its design, text, graphics, and logos, is owned by winstep and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, winstep will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, points, or prizes, arising from your use of the Service.
If you are a resident of the United States, then to the maximum extent permitted by law, you and winstep agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, and not in court, except that either party may bring claims in small-claims court where eligible. You and winstep waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration. This section does not apply where prohibited by applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Georgia (the Country of Georgia), without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to Section 12, disputes will be handled by the Tbilisi City Court in the Republic of Georgia. Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service at any time, including for violations of these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your profile page.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
